YOUNG COMPANY
An intensive training programme for young performers preparing to enter the professional industry. Train alongside your full-time course, prepare for drama school auditions, or continue developing your craft as you take your next steps into the industry.
AUDITION FOR THE YOUNG COMPANY
The Boury Academy Young Company is a training programmed specifically designed for ages 16-21 and is £120 per 12 weeks term.
That is FOUR hours of training for just £10 per week... £2.50 per class!
It is designed for those who want to pursue a professional career in the arts.
Along side producing a full production each summer, company members work on technique, audition requirements for drama school and have multiple performing and career development opportunities throughout the year.
Our Young Company are often asked to represent us at events and often are given the chance to watch multiple professional theatre performances throughout the year. They are also able to explore professional representation by The Boury Agency.
The Boury Academy’s mission is to increase access to professional performing arts, increase diversity in the arts through that access and to build confidence, creativity, community cohesion and provide a safe place to be outside of school hours. We believe in #PerformingArtsForEveryone
HOW TO JOIN
We would love to welcome some new talent to join us. If this is something you would be interested in please see the information below about sending us a self tape as an audition.
The commitment will involve

Sunday Rehearsals (1pm - 5pm) each week at our studios in Vauxhall

Availability for Performances in December and then again in July

Potential Friday Evening Rehearsals / Courses
To audition please send a self tape to info@thebouryacademy.co.uk with the subject line Young Company Audition.
Please include
- a short ident / intro video telling us who you are, your age, the borough in which you live
- a brief reason of why you'd like to join the Young Company
Then please tape at least two of the following three options
1) A Monologue or poem - you can use existing acting footage or showreel footage if you have it
2) a verse and chorus of a song of your choice
3) A brief dance video
Each video should be between 1-2 minutes.
We promise to reply to every audition for our Young Company.
You do not need to audition to join The Boury Academy Foundations programme that runs after school and at weekends for ages 4-16. The Young Company is audition only.
